Ring in the New Year with Rosie Posie!

Can you believe 2014 is almost over?  Hopefully it has been a great year for all of you.  For those of you who would rather forget 2014 altogether, it's almost over!!!
Designer Rosie Posie created this lovely, sparkly tag with the Alex stamp.  I just love his glittered bow tie!  I love blues and browns together and this tag strikes the perfect balance!
This couple is ready for a glorious night on the town!
I hope you all stay safe this evening and I look forward to seeing all of you next year!
Your support has made this endeavor a very rewarding experience and I appreciate each and every one of you that have helped me along the way!
Happy New Year!!

We love the Military men in our lives!!!

Meet Mark!

Arrives January 9, 2015!!!
We are starting the year out on a high note!
We are releasing a military man stamp!!
I am super excited to release this stamp!
This military figure is as close as I can come to being representative of all the service branches combined.  I understand that it may not be EXACTLY like your uniformed guy, but hopefully you will love having him as part of your collection.  I wanted to add ranks, etc, but when I found out that there are more than 20 PER service, I realized that it just wasn't possible.
There are some things I want to explain about this stamp just for clarification.

Most of the uniforms I researched for the military branches all had similar aspects and that is what I incorporated into the stamp.  If you want to create a look that is as close to politically correct as possible, here are some helpful hints:
Put the Military branch name on the right side of the stamped figure, in the spot over the pocket.
Put the last name of your military guy on the left side of the stamped figure, in the spot over the pocket.
The flag that is included can be added to the left side of the stamped figure, on the arm, where the seam would be, just above the pocket.
As an added bonus, I have included an oversized geo tag.  You will notice that there are lines inside the tag.  We all know how the military men in our lives have been to multiple, multiple locations during their military careers.  Now you can plot the points where he has been AND add the date inside the geo tag!!  I just love this idea!!!
My husband retired from the Navy after 24 years and now I want to go create some layouts using this stamp and plot his travels around the globe with this cool geo tag, so our children will have it long after we are gone!  What a cool piece of history to leave for your family!!
Needless to say, I am VERY EXCITED about this stamp and I look forward to seeing many of your creations!!
Mark arrives today!!!

A Real Boy! Card by Shannon Miller

I love Disney movies and I especially love this quote from Pinocchio!
I love Shannon's artsy style!!  This is such a fun card with all the textures!  The base of the card looks like it is cardboard and then she has peeled away some of the top layer to reveal some of that awesome texture below!  This is such an awesome technique that can be used in so many projects.  I hope you are inspired to try this technique on your next scrapbook page or tag or card!

Kissing Santa by Designer Rosie Posie!!

Designer Rosie Posie draws her own girl dolls to fit her needs when crafting.  This tag is no exception!  I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, after the popular classic Christmas song features the newest stamp, Kris and Rosie's own doll!
I love the way the couple is snuggled together.  A bit of evergreen underneath the heart and the tag says it all!  If you have a special Santa in your life, why not make him a special tag that shows how much you appreciate all he does at this time of year!
Merry Christmas!!

This is soooo adorable!!  Michael is holding a present all wrapped up with a gold bow!  Looks to me like somebody's been nice!!

I Don't Do Mornings!

Designer Michelle Petersen has Timmy and me pegged!!!

I feel the same way about mornings!!  I am so spoiled, my husband brings me coffee every morning when he wakes me up. Did you get up early to go shopping this Black Friday morning?  Did you go shopping yesterday?  Luckily, we were travelling and I didn't have to make the decision!!

Love the jammies on Timmy!!  The stripes and the coffee cup, well, they are perfect!!  The clock reflects me as well!!  If I had my way, no one would have to start their day until 8:30!!!

Michelle's project shows off the versatility of these guy stamps beautifully!  All you need is a little imagination and you too can create cards and scrapbook pages that reflect YOUR Timmy who needs coffee before their feet hit the floor!

Falling for You!

Designer Rosie Posie is on the blog this morning with a gorgeous Fall tag featuring Andrew.
Fall is a favorite time of year for a lot of people and I am no exception.  I love the colors, I love the holidays, the food, the family time and getting to do special things for special people.
I love the colors in this tag.  The doll dress color beautifully compliments Andrew's suit.  The both stand out wonderfully against the dark background that Rosie chose.
I am going to leave this tag on the blog through Thanksgiving.  The colors are perfect and I love the quote, "Falling for You".

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and get to enjoy being surrounded by family.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Timmy Goes Fishing!

Here is a sweet tag I created.  That's right, me.  I love this stamp a lot because of his bare feet!!  There is just something so sweet and relaxing about taking your shoes off and walking through the soft grass.

I used a set of Jolee Stickers for the fishing gear.  I dismantled and reassembled the gear bag so I could put the strap around Timmy's arm and also add the bit of rope to the bag.  The tag is made from a piece of cardboard that I distressed by peeling off the top layer to reveal the corrugated layer.  I'm happy with how the project turned out!

Love this card by Designer Holly Bray!  She used the Michael stamp to create a Musician card.

This card would be perfect for my inspiration for the stamp, my son Michael!  Last year, you would never see him without his Fedora on his head!  He is also an amazing guitar musician!

The size of this card looks like it is perfect for including a check or money as well!  I love this design!  Thank you so much!

Elvis is on the Blog Today!

Designer Donna Woods has captured my heart with today's project!!

It takes a great deal of creativity to make the leap from Drake to Elvis!!  But Donna has done it!!

I love the little curl she added to his hair, it just says Elvis!!  I can just hear him singing 'Love Me Tender', can't you!!

Thank you so much Donna!!  You made my day!

Thank you very much!  (the way Elvis would say it!  :))

Two More Projects from Designer Shannon Miller!

I love Shannon's vision when it comes to thinking outside the box!  The altered frame she created with the small Andrew stamp is right up my alley!!  I love the steampunk gears and graphic background!!  I think it's perfect!

Shannon also used the Jeremiah stamp to create a fun card!  Jeremiah's casual look lends perfectly to the colors and style of the card.  What I love is that no to faces would be the same if everyone drew their own the way Shannon did!

Say Hello to yet Another Design Team Member!!

Am I the luckiest person on BlogSpot?

I think so!!  I have some amazing women who have volunteered their time and energy to create projects for C Thru the Woods Clear Stamps!

I am pleased to introduce you to one more of the brand new Design Team Members-Donna Woods!!
(Nope, we're not related to each other!  Just a happy coincidence!)  The project she created is being taught as a class at a weekend crop!  How awesome is that?!!
Donna Woods will be teaching a class at our weekend crop. She will be covering a composition book with a Charlene Woods Phantom of the Opera stamp.

My name is Donna Woods. I live in Huntington, WV. My home is full of my furry (and not so furry) kids and my crafty creations.  In fact, crafting has overtaken my home.
Lots of inspiration comes from my family, my: hubby, 2 daughters, son, 3 granddaughters and my grandson.
For over 20 years I was a nurse, but Fibromyalgia knocked my legs out from under me.  Now I spend as much time as possible enjoying my family and crafting.
My real passion is scrapbooking and all sorts of paper crafts.  Playing with paper dolls is my favorite pastime, so I am delighted to be part of Charlene's design team.
My favorite place to get C Thru The Woods stamps is my LSS, The Scrapbook Page, in Barboursville, WV.  The owner is Maxine Hodges.  She and the scrappers there have taught me so much!  Scrapping has helped me meet so many fun people and I have made many fabulous friends.  I plan to revive my withered blog in the near future, hoping you will join me there.
You can also find me on Facebook: Donna Woods (Donna Riley).
Thank you so much Donna!!!

Introducing Another New Design Team Member!

Oh my goodness!!  How did it get to be November 6th ALREADY???  I've already fallen behind!!!
My apology to you for having not posted the rest of the Design Team member projects!!

This next Designer, I 'met' in college!!  I say 'met' because we had several classes together at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, but have never actually seen each other in person!!  I feel as though we are friends though!  In fact, Brandi created a gorgeous watercolor painting based on a photo I took!!  I have it in my scrapbook room.

Please welcome Brandi Byrom to our Design Team!   I just love the Halloween project she created with the Drake stamp!  If I had kept current on my blogging, this should have been posted before Halloween had passed.  But I still love, love this project!  I love the bat in the tree!!!

My name is Brandi and I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls. I also home school them so although I don't have much spare time, you can always find me creating when I do.
I am fairly new to scrapbooking but I have always been interested in mixed media and collage.  I am a traditional artist and have always dreamed about being an illustrator. I am always excited to share my work and see other's work as well!
Please be sure to go to Brandi's page and like it to see her work!!
Thank you Brandi!

Introducing another amazing Design Team Member!

Hi, my name is Michelle.

Hi, my name is Michelle.  I moved to the US (Colorado) from England back in 1999.  As a stay-at-home mom to two young children I was quickly introduced to scrap booking, and from there began a love of all things paper crafting.

Most recently I have been enjoying card making, and coloring with alcohol markers. I'm excited to be part of the C Thru The Woods Design Team.  I truly love these images - they are so much fun to color and create with.

I also design for a local scrapbook store here in Colorado - A Scrap N Place, many of my guy projects can be seen on their blog too

Please check out my blog at

Michelle recently took a trip with her husband to Hawaii and was inspired to make this amazing card featuring the Jeremiah stamp!  I love the colors she uses!  Please be sure to follow her work both here, on her blog and at the Scrapbook Page!  She is going to be busy, busy, busy!

I am pleased to introduce another new Design Team Member!

 Meet Rosie Posie!!
  • My grandmother taught me the importance of scrapbooking when I was 5 years old. I love looking back and seeing my first written words and photos of friends on those pages. Since then I have mainly scrapped for 28 years. I dabble in cards for close friends and family (birthdays and holidays). Cricut is more up my alley. I collect the machines and! I won my first girl doll stamp at a crop in may of 2014. Since then I was obsessed with them! I googled and pintrest searched doll stamps and discovered C Thru the Woods. Fell in love all over again and have had a blast making tags instead of cards. I have a blog :
  • That blog was used for a few years to keep track of those studio g dollar stamps. I found myself with so many I had to stop! Fortunately, those little stamp sets come in handy with accessories or phrases to use with my doll tags. I will be posting more of my creations on my blog.
I just love Rosie's creativity!  She used the Jeremiah stamp along with the Frankenstein monster mask and came up with this fun Halloween tag!!  Please be sure to visit her blog often and follow her here!!

Adding more Design Team Members!!!

Good day to all!!

Over the next few days it will be my distinct pleasure to introduce you to a few more extraordinary ladies who have graciously decided to be part of our Design Team.  These ladies will be bringing you brand new ideas for working with my guy stamps.  I hope you decide to follow along and I hope you enjoy the projects!!
This fun tag was created by new Design Team Member Shannon Miller!! As you can see, Drake is not afraid to wear pink!!  He is a manly man!!
Here is a little about Shannon, you can also find her biography under the Design Team tab on the blog!  Please visit her pages, say hi and follow her posts!!  You won't be disappointed!!

My name is Shannon Miller,

I am a daughter, sister, friend and mom to 2 amazing children. I have been a scrapbooker, cardmaker for 14 years. My artistic style has evolved over the years and I find that I am drawn to mixed media as it allows me to try new techniques and products. My passion for learning and expressing myself through my art has allowed me to grow as an individual through challenging projects and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

In addition to scrapbooking and cardmaking I enjoy dabbling in my art journal, tags, making mini albums, canvas’ and off the page projects.
I enjoy meeting fellow crafters and hope to inspire others through my creations.

Drake has arrived!! Great Halloween Stamp!

Drake is sort of a throw-back to what I think of as 60’s comical Dracula.  He has slicked back hair, bell bottom pants, cape and of course, fangs and a cleft for his chin!!  I wanted a little more versatility for him and created two additional Halloween masks—which is something I have never personally seen done.  He can be a Phantom of the Opera and/or a very suave Frankenstein monster!
He is now on the tictail site so you can purchase him directly at

Drake is in Production!

Drake will measure approximately 8 x 3 and will be available in limited quantity.  I hope to have him by October 1st.  You will be able to buy him from the site.  I will be offering them to stores, however, it is somewhat late in the season for stores to get in Halloween stamps.  Next year, I will offer him to store owners in a more timely fashion.  He will be lots of fun with three different looks to choose from!!  I just love this guy!!  I hope you do too!

Thank you!!

Must say a HUGE Thank you to Robin Immel for hosting the Rivercrest Barn crop in Dover, Ohio this week!!  I was able to cross a big personal hurdle and taught my first Mixed Media art class!!  If you could have seen my brain for months prior, worrying about teaching a class, you may have laughed at me!  The ladies who took the class were gracious, funny and wonderful to work with!!  Thank you for helping me cross off teaching as something to worry about!!  I had a lot of fun at the crop and look forward to attending more in the future with your lovely group!!  Robin is the hostess of Robin's Scrap Nest on Facebook, a warm and friendly gathering place for scrapbookers and crafters.  Stop by and say hi!!
